Dr. Ash Chirco
Dr. Ash Chirco, DVM, is an Emergency Veterinarian and the Medical Director at Veterinary Specialty Center of Tucson.
Dr. Chirco was born and raised here in Tucson, Arizona. He attended The Ohio State University (Go Bucks!) for undergraduate studies and graduated from the University of Minnesota College of Veterinary Medicine in 2015. He then joined the Air Force as a Public Health Officer, where he served on active duty in Grand Forks, North Dakota. After spending many years in the cold, he decided to leave active duty and move back to the heat.
After moving home, Dr. Chirco was selected for an emergency and exotics internship program which helped to hone his diagnostic and surgical skills. He graduated from his internship program in 2019 and has been in emergency practice ever since. He also kept with his military service and is a member of the Arizona Air National Guard.
When not at work, he enjoys spending time with his family, girlfriend and many creatures (6 dogs, 3 ferrets and a cat), traveling and spending time outdoors.
